The SETTLEMENT single vineyard Heritage Sauvignon Blanc hails from the esteemed Heritage Vineyard, located in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley sub-region. Planted on silty clay loams overlying a clay sub soil, this free-draining organic vineyard’s layered soil profile produces distinct characteristics in the wine akin to a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - predominantly lively citrus and zesty grapefruit flavours. The ideal wine match for your next seafood meal or Asian inspired dish.
Every glass of OTU wine sustainably captures the spirit of the wild Awatere Marlborough coast, where our Sauvignon Blanc thrives in the windswept sea air.
Bold and vibrant Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc; with intense passionfruit on the palate, a backbone of minerality, finishing with beautiful crisp acidity.
Sunnier, drier, cooler and windier than Marlborough's main valley, the Awatere’s hilly, rough coastal terrain conspires to produce distinctive, riper and intensely vibrant wines on our OTU Estate.
- 100% Estate grown, low cropping per Ha
- 100% Coastal Awatere Sauvignon Blanc
The 2024 Huia Sauvignon Blanc comes from organic and biodynamic vineyards located in the lower Wairau and Waihopai valleys. Diverse vineyard soils, from former riverbed, alluvial soils to the clay-rich slopes of the Waihopai Valley deliver a wine with great complexity. A small portion of the fruit was harvested early to create our pied de cuve, from yeast living on our home block. The wine fermented slowly in a mix of stainless steel, puncheons and old oak barriques to deliver a vivid, rich style of Sauvignon Blanc.
Saint Clair Family Estate is one of Marlborough’s few family-owned wineries, dedicated to crafting world-class Sauvignon Blanc for over 30 years. Using unique small-batch techniques, they produce award-winning wines across various price points. Their Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc has been a standout since its debut in the early 2000s, winning two Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophies in 2001. Today, it continues to excel, earning 41 trophies and 123 gold medals—more than any other Saint Clair wine. Proudly 100% Marlborough grown, Saint Clair remains a leader in premium Sauvignon Blanc production.
Mud House has been growing Sauvignon blanc, the wine that firmly put New Zealand on the world stage, proudly for well over 25 years. Living and making wine in Marlborough provides us with first-hand knowledge of the varietal and an understanding the diversity our sub-regions provide. We let the fruit drive our expression and love how its flavours, textures and aromas reflect where it is grown, whether that is the distinctive Awatere Valley or the vast Wairau Plain.
Admired for its fresh acidity and intense zesty flavours and aromas, Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc is made to be savoured. This is the Sauvignon Blanc that put Villa Maria on the world map. A blend of Marlborough’s Wairau and Awatere Valleys, our winemakers take great care to ensure this wine showcases exceptional balance and consistency every vintage.
Eva Pemper's Sauvignon Blanc story is one of precision, passion, and place. Born in Croatia, Eva brings European flair to Marlborough’s vibrant fruit.
Every vintage is about capturing purity—bright acidity, layered aromatics, and a sense of home in every glass. Grown on their own vineyards, Eva’s Sauvignon Blanc is a personal expression of Marlborough, crafted with care and integrity.
Forrest planted Sauvignon Blanc alongside seven other varieties back in 1988, never knowing it would become the next big thing for New Zealand wine.
They’re lucky enough to still have the original old vine Sauvignon Blanc on the Estate. These elegant, older ladies are the stars of Forrest Sauvignon Blanc today. Known for their austere, stony minerality, they produce an ‘old school’ style—ethereal, fine, and delicately aromatic with hints of elderflower and lemon blossom, yet textural, rounded, and mouth-filling on the palate.
They’re so valuable we can’t replant—only interplant as each vine dies, hoping it takes another hundred years before they’re gone.

The Marlborist is a collaboration between three friends who have spent their careers building their knowledge and honing their craft working for some of Marlborough’s pioneering winegrowers.
Coming to know some of the most beautiful vineyards and seasoned growers, The Marlborist has chosen to work with a small selection of exceptional sites, sourcing fruit from across the region.
A gentle, hands-off approach is applied in the winery with the aim of creating beautifully expressive, elegant wines that reflect and respect the site, the season and the region.
Nestled between the Southern Alps and the Pacific Ocean, Marlborough lies at the junction of a major geological faultline, a landscape shaped over millions of years. Mountains, thrust up over millennia, provide shelter from wild westerly winds and the ancient glacial soils and cool, sunny maritime climate are integral to the distinctive style synonymous with Marlborough sauvignon blanc.
From a selection of our favourite vineyards across the region, Alpine Rift is an elegant interpretation of the classic Marlborough style. Ripe, golden bunches are picked and gently pressed to a combination of stainless-steel tanks and French oak to slowly ferment.
Aromas of white-fleshed nectarine, papaya and honeydew melon with a hint of mandarin and jalapeno on the nose are underpinned by a ripe, richly textured palate and crisp, citrus finish.

Creating honest, tasty, fruit-packed Marlborough wines is what Jules does best. Her wine is for people who laugh. People who sing, dance, feast and celebrate. People who sit out on the back deck solving the world’s problems.
Born in Marlborough the year the first vines were planted, Jules has literally grown up with Sauvignon Blanc. Deeply invested in the region and its grape-growing families, she has made some of Marlborough’s best-loved wines.
These days, Jules handcrafts a small yet feisty collection of top-quality wines. They are great memories in a bottle, created with sunshine from Marlborough and love from Jules.
Sauvignon Blanc has played an important part in Isabel Estate’s story since it was first planted on our vineyard in 1986. Today, we craft a style that’s citrus-driven, textural and precise, sourcing fruit from our estate and select parcels across Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. With over 25 years of experience in the region, Chief Winemaker Jeremy McKenzie brings deep expertise and a considered approach to every vintage. Wild ferments, old French oak and whole bunch inclusion add layers of complexity while preserving freshness and vibrancy. Expressive, aromatic and full of character - this is Sauvignon Blanc, the Isabel way.
